We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Track usage across our app and landing pages
- Improve marketing attribution and performance
If you click Accept all and arrive through a link with campaign tags (utm_ parameters), we save those tags in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) for up to 30 days, from your first visit only. If you buy, we attach them to your order in Stripe. If you give us your email, we may add them to your Kit subscriber record. They tell us which campaign brought you. On their own they hold no personal information, but once attached to an order or email they are linked to you. If you click Reject non-essential, or later turn off analytics and advertising in Cookie settings, we don't save them and we clear any saved copy.
- Identify affiliate traffic and facilitate payouts
Essential cookies are needed for the site to work. We use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (such as the Reddit pixel) only if you accept them in our cookie banner. After you Accept all, if you submit your email, Reddit may set a cookie that stores a hashed version of that email so Reddit can measure ads. You can change your choice anytime using the Cookie settings link in the footer, and you can also block cookies in your browser settings.
Embedded videos. Some pages include videos hosted on YouTube, a Google service. A video does not load until you click play. When you click play, the video loads from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube may set cookies or similar technologies and collect information about your device and viewing under Google's Privacy Policy. If you prefer not to allow this, do not play the video, or watch it directly on YouTube.
First-party assessment measurement#
We also measure how visitors move through the LeakHunter assessment with our own tool. It uses no cookies and no outside services. Before you make a cookie choice, we only count which step was reached, with no ID. If you click Accept all, we also link those steps to your assessment ID, which connects to your email if you gave it. We keep these records for 90 days, then keep only total counts. If you click Reject non-essential, we don't record them.
